Miami-Dade County, FL — The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) has announced a change to its non-emergency contact number. Effective immediately, residents are encouraged to use the new number: 305-SHERIFF (305-743-7433), which replaces the former 305-4-POLICE line. The updated number should be used for non-urgent matters, including noise complaints, minor traffic incidents, and general inquiries. In an official statement, MDSO emphasized: “For emergencies requiring immediate police, fire, or medical response, residents must continue to call 911.” At this time, 305-SHERIFF is only accessible via cell phones. Residents calling from landlines should continue using the previous non-emergency number, 305-4-POLICE. The Sheriff's Office urges the public to save the new number and use it appropriately to help ensure efficient and timely community service.
