Don’t get towed. Get a text! Starting May 12, 2025, the City of Miami Beach will launch a new residential program designed to provide registered residents with a 15-minute grace period before their vehicle is towed. When eligible, residents will receive a one-time text message notification per citation, giving them time to move their vehicle. Please note that not all citations will result in a notification. Vehicles parked illegally in a traffic lane, in a "No Parking" zone, in a disabled parking space without proper authorization, or in a freight loading zone are not eligible for the grace period and may be towed immediately. Registration for the program is now open. Registration can be done online at register.miamibeachparking.com or in-person by visiting the Miami Beach Customer Service Center (1755 Meridian Ave, 1st floor) with a photo ID, vehicle registration and proof of residency e.g., utility bill. If you are already registered for any Miami Beach Residential Parking Permit or Program, no additional registration is required. You will be automatically enrolled in the new system and begin receiving text notifications. If you are not currently enrolled in a Residential Parking Program, you can still apply to receive the same benefits and parking discounts. Miami Beach residents should visit register.miamibeachparking.com for more information or parking.miamibeachfl.gov/portal to make any necessary updates to their current accounts. https://www.miamibeachfl.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/City-of-Miami-Beach-to-Send-Warning-Texts-Before-Residents-Get-Towed.pdf
