Beit David Highland Lakes Shul Announces New Leadership

Beit David Highland Lakes Shul is proud to share an exciting announcement with our community on this very meaningful day.

Today marks the 123rd birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory — a towering figure in Jewish life and global moral leadership. The Rebbe devoted his life to reaching every Jew with love and inspiration, transcending barriers of background, knowledge, or observance. His message emphasized not only Jewish unity, but the importance of universal values and education.

The Rebbe taught that education is not solely a path to earning a living, but a guide for living with purpose, kindness, and integrity. In recognition of this vision, every U.S. President since Jimmy Carter has designated the Rebbe’s birthday as “Education and Sharing Day” — a national day promoting moral education and civic responsibility.

In celebration of this powerful legacy, we are delighted to welcome Rabbi Yossi and Leah Bryski to our professional team. They will be joining Beit David as Directors of Programming & Development, beginning after Pesach.

The Bryskis bring passion, experience, and a deep commitment to Jewish life. Their role will focus on engaging teens, young adults, and families through meaningful educational and social programming. Their work will strengthen communal bonds and help individuals deepen their connection to Jewish identity and heritage.

Please join us in giving Rabbi Yossi and Leah a warm welcome and in wishing them tremendous success in this new chapter. We are confident that their energy and vision will contribute to an even more inclusive, dynamic, and inspired future for our Shul and the broader Jewish community.

Am Yisrael Chai!
