Chief Jeff Levy Retires from Lauderhill FD, to Be Sworn In as Hollywood Fire Chief

After more than 25 years of dedicated service with the Lauderhill Fire Department, Chief Jeff Levy is officially retiring — but his commitment to public safety is far from over. Levy will be sworn in next week as the new Fire Chief of the Hollywood Fire Department.

In addition to his decades of leadership in Lauderhill, Chief Levy has served for the past three years as EMS Director for Hatzalah South Florida, where he has played a pivotal role in enhancing collaboration between Hatzalah and municipal emergency services.

“Chief Levy has been instrumental in building partnerships with local departments,” said Andre Roitman, Director of Hatzalah South Florida. “We look forward to continuing that work—especially with the Hollywood Fire Department.”

His dual roles have earned him wide respect across both the professional and volunteer emergency response communities. The appointment marks a new chapter for Chief Levy and for the city of Hollywood, as he brings his deep experience and commitment to public service to a new leadership position.
