Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Represents at Israel Day and Jewish Community Advocacy Day in Tallahassee

This week, Major Rita Rodriguez from our Homeland Security Bureau and Rabbi Mark Rosenberg proudly represented the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office at Israel Day at the Capitol and Jewish Community Advocacy Day in Tallahassee.

The day began with impactful meetings alongside FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass and FHP Executive Director Dave Kerner, reinforcing our shared commitment to public safety and continued support for our Jewish community. Major Rodriguez also attended the unveiling of the Holocaust Memorial and had the profound honor of meeting Holocaust survivor David Schaecter—a moment that deeply moved and inspired us all.

This experience further emphasized the importance of advocacy, legislative engagement, and standing strong for the needs of our community.

Special thank you to CG Maor Elbaz-Starinsky for bringing us together and fostering meaningful connections! His remarks were inspiring and resonated with all who attended.
