JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem with U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) and U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), as part of ongoing high-level diplomatic engagement amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed the lawmakers on Israel’s continued military operations in Gaza, reiterating that the campaign will persist until Hamas is dismantled and any future threat to Israel is eliminated. He also updated them on efforts to secure the release of hostages still held in Gaza.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the lawmakers’ personal and bipartisan support for Israel, emphasizing the importance of U.S. backing throughout the war.

“I deeply appreciate the steadfast support from both sides of the aisle in the United States Congress,” Netanyahu said.

The meeting underscored the close and ongoing coordination between Israel and its allies in Washington during a critical time in the region.
